Under 2 weeks left...good or bad thing?

Dissertation is coming along well and over 5000 words written. So its all good news. Here are images that I have been referencing for my new ruined city concept. Some have been recreated in the scene as they were exactly the look i wanted.

Painting the city

So i had to reformat the computer as it just wouldnt run painter correctly. So Ive stripped it down, took out all the programs except the essential screen recorder, office and of course painter X. It took time to do but hopefully it saves me a lot of time in the long run. Now that thats done ive started painting the city finaly

Yea this is really taking so much more time than i had planned, but it has to be this way or it wont look good i suppose =/

Finished for the nite

Ill be honest played some Bioshock 2 in the middle of this...but i have the flu and needed a break! but heres what i got done this evening along with my new proposal and schedule. Amsterdam will be better now ive done some work :)

Painting Concept #1

Right so thought i would start painting some of this concept before i go to Amsterdam. Here are a few screen snaps of the process in Corel so far :)

Started shading the front claw

Filled in the black horns

Filled in the skin with the paint bucket...base colour only of course

Fill in the outlines with the base colours

Here we are first concept in sketch form...still unsure if i want to finish it or not but ill try it in corel and see how it looks :)

2nd Day

Well this is an achievement...ive actually stuck at a blog for more than a day lol. Well updates today are still limited..had work so not much done on the dissertation end although i did find 20 odd pdf's on digital painting to have a look at later on. Readitlater could save my disorganized bookmark entries. So if anyone out there has any input or opinions on Digital paintig or art in general feel free to comment all help would be appreciated :).

PS. Maybe i should personalise the layout of my blog to keep even myself interested...ne ideas?
